Hi,
I am Cassie, and I’m finishing up my last year at San Diego State University. My major in Journalism makes me feel happy and excited. I’ve always been a curious person, eager to write and tell stories through news. It’s empowering to know my work has the potential to inform and influence others, but with that comes the responsibility of accuracy and truth. Every class and assignment feels like a step closer to the world I want to be a part of–whether it’s writing for a magazine, diving into lifestyle journalism, or covering celebrity stories.
I love how my major pushes me to think critically and to stay informed about various issues happening around the world. In a career that is so fast-paced and challenging, a quote that keeps me motivated is by R.S. Grey: “She believed she could, so she did.” I remember coming across that quote while browsing the internet in middle school, and it has stuck with me ever since.
